    This link should prove helpful. Note that it has 2 pages, and the choker hitch, which is what most people are using, is discussed on the second page.

    The link doesn't address this, but at higher choke angles, some of the load is borne by the friction of the webbing/tree interface, thus reducing the load on the clip/carabiner/sewn loop.

    Thanks, Otter! Appreciate the feedback. I think I am ordering both the Dutch Clips and some Whoopies today. Lighter, faster to set-up, and more stable, I think.

    In any even, the orders have been placed for the Dutch Clips, Whoopies and toggles! Will eliminate the heavy gated carabiners, and the heavy HH stock suspension ropes.
