Well, at least the part that my family and I attended. Most people started on Friday, camping on the Sheltowee Trace, then hiking into the Clifty Wilderness on Saturday. Because of work, I had to start on Saturday. I drove down with my family, planning to park at the trailhead for the Swift Camp Creek Trail, then just walk down the hill to the campsite. As I pulled into the lot, I saw a bunch of hikers taking a break there, then recognized krugd in the bunch! Amazing to have arrived there at the same time...

As usual, there was a great assortment of hammocks, tarps, gear, and styles there. The amazing 5 oz cuben tarps from OES that angrysparrow and NCPatrick brought were highlights for me, as well as krugd's homemade reverse blackbird. My kids had a great time playing in and around the creek and boulders with bdpalace's son, and slept well to prove it. I just enjoyed hanging around with everyone and chatting.

Anyway, it was pretty much a hike in, camp, hike out overnighter for us, while most of the rest went on down the trail the following day. bdpalace and his son climbed out with us as well. My daughter got to take her new pack (Osprey Jib) out on it's maiden voyage, and Elise enjoyed having less to carry. We all had a really good time, and I hope everyone else did as well.

I have a hard time at these things capturing much on video. I guess I'm just enjoying the company and conversations. Hetairoi helped my by allowing the use of some of his photos in the video--thanks again, John! The original planning thread is here: http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=16134
