I could probably handle 10 yards. I'll have to email them.

great report miisterwright.thanks for shareing your project with us.i did basically the same thing.was going to use a sponge like you did but forgot it so dunked instead.can not say for sure if it is waterproof .it has not rained when i camp since i finished the tarp.
yah, 10 yds isn't hard to use.... i put almost 9yds into the tarp alone... plus I'm making a few stuff sacks and a poncho. My bro also got in on this order and got 6yds.... in total here was the price breakdown:
$3yd for 25yds == $75
$5 cutting fee == $5
shipping + tax == $20.92
************************
total == $100.92 for 25 yds; shipped on a roll. arrived in 4 days.
their material is "2nd" quality, but I have yet to find a single flaw in mine other than a *slight* line near the edge where it looks like there is a little extra sil (maybe the width of a sewing needle).
best way is to call.... service is excellent and prompt over the phone, but a little slower via email (in my experience).
Good luck, and enjoy
miisterwright, very nice looking tarp! Thanks for sharing it with us- I enjoyed the photos!
Congratulations on a fine looking tarp
