So I'll be keeping a close eye on your UQ/SS dilemma.

    all the best
did you buy it in the uk???

well, uq/ss is only really a dilema in my mind once it gets below about 0C.... so it really depends when you are going to use it..... this is also based on having a very decent sleeping bag and not something from argos....

By dilemma I was referring to another of your posts regarding the lack of HH stockists in the UK and the lack of choice.

I don't really want to de rail the OP's initial topic, so I'll put up a introduction in the HH forum.

Wotcha, another Essex Hammocker here - I bought my Hennessey Deluxe from Blacks last week, £72.99 (or some such figure) though they're out of deluxes now and we've established they're not stocking them anymore apparently loads of stores still have them in stock and can't shift them.

My advice to English hangers is to get involved with the scout movement - you can then use their wonderful woodland sites which are usually hammock friendly.

If you're in Essex near Hockley/Hawkwell/Rochford and want to join us, PM me.

When I'm in the UK, I'm in Dundee.
I use the hammock from the BCUK group buys, with the Snugpak underblanket and quilt.
I've had it out in -10c with no problem.

Well I've just got my DD Frontline so I just need to get out and use it now. I'm halfway between Coed y Brenin and Gwydyr Forest and know someone with a couple of acres of woodland that I'm sure they wouldn't mind hanging in so I'm spoilt for choice on locations I just need the time now.

Hi Guys I'm in Scottish borders just south of Penicuik. Proud owner of a Hennessey and Warbonnet blackbird. Use a variety of tarps inc Hilberg silnylon.
About to order a warbonnet winter yetti uq and planning to make a hammock sock. Hammocking is not just a sleep system , its a way of life.

    Regards

    Fred
