I will be there plus my better half. We`re thinking of coming down Thursday evening and need to know what site #`s everyone is planning to try to use. We`ll take care of our own reservations.

Glad to have you both along.
We won't know the sites for certain until we get there. Reservations are based upon types of sites and first come first serve on site selection.
What we did last year is 21 of us shared 4 sites that I reserved and paid for. Another 3 were on a 5th site paid for individually. We will have one site that is the primary place for community gathering and the others nearby for individuals to camp. What we did last year, was I paid for all the sites at once then divided the total cost by the number of folks there and the number of nights each person stayed and I was reimbursed. I don't mind doing that again. The other option is that everyone is on there own to have a private site or pick people to share with and reserve them individually.
One thing to remember is that there is a max of 2 cars per site and extras have to park in an overflow area and pay a small fee. The other is that the daily use fee that is charged per person is not included in the campsite fee but charged at the gate upon entry.
Bottom line, you are welcome to make your own reservation if you like but there's another option available that could save you a few bucks. Our hope is to be in the Springfield Loop water only camping area.
Was that confusing enough?
Springfield Loop, water only. Thanks. That was the info I needed.

I think someone posted a map with campground numbers. Which ones about were you looking into? I may make my own just to be safe...will need room for sure for one tent possibly 2 and my hammock. Plus I like keeping my car handy.
Please include my wife and I. Driving down from Arlington sometime mid day on the 12th. We'll have one tent for sure. Hopefully the hammock gear arrives before then, and you guys can teach this noob the ropes. Hoping this goes well enough that Pamela decides she needs a hammock too.

I'd be interested in some of that amsteel (even though 60' of 1/8" silver will be here next week).
