I'm sorry to say plans have changed and Patti and I won't be able to be with you this weekend, Texas hangers. I was looking forward to meeting everybody and checking out all the great gear. We'll try again for next year, if there is one.
Have fun!

All packed up and ready to go!! Got my overstuffed Yeti in the mail, my Ohm is fully packed, all I need now is cold food, so a few coolers full of ice and meat should do the trick.
I'm not great with group meals, so I haven't been able to come up with something for the pot luck. I know there was talk about chili, so I was thinking about bringing a few loafs of bread or some Bush's Grillin' Beans.
Anywho, TOMORROW IS THE DAY!! WHOOO! See all you lovely hammockers out there!
Hammocks are God's way of saying....."relax guy".
The College Station contingency of the advance team is rolling north.
If you need to contact me, send smoke signals.
Yup,
I suppose I should consider putting something together since I am leaving in the morning.
See y'all around noonish.
Howdy yall! I wasn't sure if I'd be able to make it, so I stayed out of the thread/list. Turns out I'm free and will be there! I haven't made reservations yet so I hope there's still room close to everybody. I'm hoping to be there around noon-ish. I'll be bringing a kayak and fishing tackle so maybe some grilled redfish will be on the menu!
edit: I just saw the fish kill notice. Anyone heard anything recent about the fishing?

This is Mrs. UncleMJM...Here is the report from the campsite. Fish kill=poor fishing conditions (folks are welcome to fish but there is not much there to bite). There are plenty of trees and plenty of room, so drive carefully.
Working late has me packing late...I hate it and doubt I'll get much done tonight. Looks like I'll have to resort to shoving everything in the car tomorrow morning and just hoping I brought all I think I'll need...hopefully more so.
If I recall correctly, there was plenty of room, and not many other folks in the park at all; current forecast of rain this weekend will no doubt keep even more folk home, so there will be plenty of room for all...bring the wellies, just in case!
KM (who is thinking that as there may be extra time in camp I have a bunch of soda cans,(maybe 10-20?) if anybody wants/need to make alcohol stoves?)
