need cap for TRANGIA. help! SWEDISH MESS KIT kitch...

Aaaack! I just bought a TRANGIA SWEDISH MESS KIT off the bay and I find that I didn't read all the way.
The set I am receiving has cracks in the cap of the TRANGIA.
    So help me out.
    Do you have a cap?
Do you have a TRANGIA with cap?
    a small item, yes!
    But one I want.
I saw this mess kit in use and I marveled at the functionality of each piece. A wonderful kit
prefer trades. Maybe AMSTEEL? a soft shackle or two? Whoopie sling.

    Thanks all
    Tom

FYI, the Swedish mess kit stove and a standard Trangia stove do not share the same lids. I found that our when I got the simmering ring and it was too small. The mess kit version also has more storage capacity than the standard making it incompatible with a Westwing or Clickstand. Still, it works like a champ. The hard part is cleaning them in the filed if you make more than just hot water or soup.

+1 on the JB Weld if you can't locate one.

You could also fill the cracks with solder

    Now this is a surprise!

Thanks all for the ideas and KT do poke around a bit.

I can solder.Just didn't think of it. DUH!
I thought it was an easy replacement.

    Hey!
You guys ought to try the SWEDISH MESS KIT.
Make a wood fire in the windscreen, use the trangia to cook and boil.
Use the cup to fill the AQUASIMPLE
Hang it over a fire using the hook.

I agree I love mine ... amazing piece of gear, just wish it didn't weigh about a metric ton!

I have one of those also ( aluminum ). Mine had two cracks in it and I soldered it. It works just fine. The kit is neat but heavy. Bullet proof.

Hawk-Eye and I have the stainless cup and pot. Even heavier, but bomb proof!
I keep mine in the car in the winter. Could come in handy.
