HH DEEP JUNGLE ASYM ZIP just ordered one

How tall are you lyodom? I'm 6'2" and medium build FWIW. Did you upgrade to the silnylon tarp or the 70d PU coated? Thanks

I am 5'10" and around 180 lbs. I ordered the XL to make sure I had plenty of room. New to hammocking and didn't want to hit the ground... The tarp is not silnylon, I think it is the 70D Hex since they didn't charge me for the upgrade....I'll have to look when I get home.

With HHDJ you can lay either direction (no foot box), can change Rt to Left or Left to Right diag. and legs are more comfortable. With the WBBB I couldn't seem to get my legs comfortable. Additionally the HHDJ mid tie-outs are on the underside of the zipper, so can sit in it without having to unstake the tie-outs. With the WBBB I didn't even bother with the tieouts too much trouble getting in and out of the hammock.

Great, thanks lyodom! If they didn't charge you for the upgrade then you have the 70d PU coated tarp. Another benefit that I see in getting a DJ is that I can get somebody else into hammocking as well with the free Scout that they are giving with the holiday special. That's a big thing for me because I have lot's of little ones in my family that would really enjoy it. Thanks again and happy holidays!

I bought my HHDJ long last Xmas and used it all summer long. Had are really great time and am sure anyone would enjoy the Deep Jungle.

Hi Guys...

I've had the Explorer Ultralite for ~3 years and love it! My son has pretty much taken over the hammock so I used that as an excuse to buy the Deep Jungle XL ZIP. I camp up here in New Hampshire so I hope to "pad" it for those cold nights. My biggest problem is with moisture... After a night in the Explorer the SS foam pad is sooo wet....

I ordered a cheap sleeping bag vapor barrier from campmor to see if I like it or not... will let you know the outcome...

Can't wait for the Deep Jungle to arrive!!!!!

Congrats! I got mine a few days ago but haven't had a chance to try it out yet. Are you putting the foam pad in the hammock with you? In Tom's set-up videos for the SS he puts it under the space blanket, on top of the undercover. Hopefully Billybob will chime in on this, he seems to know more than most about HH's and the SS.

Ditto on the HH Explorer UL. My 1st hammock and still one of my favs after 3 years.

Do you use the recommended ( by HH) space blanket on top of the HH pad? Doesn't seem to work for every one, but I have never had a drop of moisture on my pad. Except one of the few times I didn't use the sp.blanket.

I would love to try a DJ XL though!
