    Excellent customer service

I thought it would be a great way to repay OWF by posting this. At the SEHHA, I discovered the only thing I am missing from my thru hike setup is mitten clips. I need a few of them for to attach lightweight things to things. Anyways, I couldn't justify paying the standard $5 for shipping $1 of clips. So Hooch pointed me to OWF Inc. (http://www.owfinc.com/) and I sent them an email. I exchanged 5 emails with the owner, and she sent me 10 mitten clips for 80 cents postage. She just stuck them in one of their company envelopes, and paid for the weight of the envelope. Any company who's owner spends that much of their time for a few cents profit deserves praise. I figured this post would be a good way to repay her for her help.

agreed, I exchanged several (9, I think) emails to OWF, and received several sample fabrics for color and texture match. I know most places would do this, but she spent quite a lot of time going over material options for my tarp/ hammock. sadly, I want 1.1 sil in forest green (help anyone?), which they do not have.

Yeah, that OD silnylon is some mythical stuff. What I don't understand is why you can't find the coyote brown stuff. Hennessy uses it. Kifaru uses it. How come no one sells it. I understand this stuff is parachute material which explains the bright colors but SOMEBODY is making the brown stuff somewhere.
