    UQ storage

    Hi All,

I just ordered up the 3-Season Incubator Under Quilt , it's showing that it is 77" long X 45" wide. I've read that they should be stored uncompressed when not in use and that mesh bags are a good option to store them in. The largest mesh bag I can find is 36" x 24". Would this size bag be ok to store my UQ in , or is there another prefered storage method ?

I store my down quilt and underquilt in large cotton bags. You can buy them at
    REI.

That's what I'm using. Seems to work okay.

What size are your quilts and the bags you use ? It seems that they would still be some-what compressed using a bag or pillow case . Do you fold them up lightly or roll temm up?

For my KAQ and Black Mamba 3 season TQ, I use the mesh bags that came with the quilts. For the Incubator and burrow, I use the walmart mesh laundry bags which are a smidgen larger than the mesh bags from AHE and WB. I just load them loosely into the bag- no rolling or folding

I got three of these on sale at REI a year or so ago ... great for storage of sleeping bags, TQ, and UQ's

I do the same, but get the bags from Wally World in the home storage section for about half the price. A good sized mesh bag or a huge cotton pillowcase will do as well.
