Everyone should go to ground... every once in a while just to reappreciate your hammock.
I went camping with the family this weekend to Sadler's Creek State Park on Lake Hartwell. One son and I went down Friday and took two of our dogs to see how they would do camping.
This is Emilee
and Cesar
I had reserved two sites at the end of a loop and we set up the living quarters at the end one and the eating area on the next one. That way we would have at least one site between us and our closest neighbor. Rather than stick my son with the dog-sitting, I blew up an air mattress and slept in the tent with him and the dogs.
Most miserable camping night I've ever had.
The dogs were not bad, didn't bark or make noise, they just didn't want to sleep much. Cesar, the one with the tongue, surprised me several times with that thing. At about 5:00 am, they decided it was time to get up, so we went for a walk. BTW...air mattresses are from the devil.
Saturday, the rest of the family showed up, we played in the water, Emi loves it, Cesar, not so much. We had a great day and the Mrs. wasn't going to camp so she took the dogs back with her. (I love that woman).
Saturday night, I was back in my blackbird as God intended.
Here are a few of the required pictures.
The campsite with the Blackbird behind the ground dwelling, D.O. cooking was Blueberry Cobbler and Mile High Salsa Bake, and a sunset.
I love a good sunset.
