I use a piece of wire sized as above to feed a loop of fishing line which I larks head aroung my bury and pull. For me it's easier/quicker than the wire -- especially when I need to wrap it around my pulling finger for leverage (always hated straightening the wire after same).

Dritz loop turners work well for amsteel and dynaglide. They also work for Zing-it, but it's a tighter fit. They are Dritz product # 647

I also like Dritz yarn darning needles (product 56Y-D), a set of 7 large needles. I improved the largest one by taking a fine file and rounding the sharp point into a ballpoint. It makes a good small splicing tool to take along for field repairs or making loop shackles and Penberthys.

+1 for the loop turners. Tight on the 1.75MM line, good on the 2.2mm and GREAT on 7/64 or 1/8 Amsteel

+2 (or is that +3) for the loop turner. I like it because you can pull through & add a twisting motion when the line sticks, this seems to really help it along.

A section of .030 mig welder wire. Doubled and twisted. Pulls good in 7/64 amsteel and tight 2.2 zing-it.

A high E guitar string folded in half works great for Zing It / Lash It as well.
