    River hanging

Heading to Current River tomorrow with my boys and some of their friends. We have 6 going and darn it, that's too many for my tent so I'm going to have to do some hanging ;-). Just wondering what the odds are I'll find the right trees on a gravel bar? We've float camped many times but before I was more interested in finding sandy spots.

So you're gonna bite the bullet and let the other's have the tent and you'll have to "ruff it" in a hammock. Man, I feel your pain

And don't worry about the "right trees". As long as you find trees that have a bit of distance between them, you can hang!!! Actually try to look for the worst place that a tenter would ever dream of setting up and put your hammock there. And then notice what kind of looks you get. That's called "priceless".

Have fun and post back when you return.

few things are nicer than a water view from your hammock. 100 percent chance of finding perfect spots.

I love hanging near a river, or right on the bank of a lake. Just found out i'll be hanging in W. VA this weekend by the Tygart river.
