what is the thin & light cord used on my Blackbird

I am interested in the thin black cord used between the hammock and the shock cord on the sides. I am thinking of trying to get some to use as ultralight tarp tie-downs. is there a specific name or brand I should search for?

Its larger than braided mason's line. You might try trot line from a sports store or Walmart.
