UK meet, if they can do it, why cant we?

Come on now... its summer! sort of....

even if its just a few of us, even if we have a southern meet and a northern meet to make it cheaper... cant we all hang out together at some point???

    ideas please....

I have no idea as to venues though, I usually go stealthy.

The BCUK moot is on at the end of this month down in Wales, there are lots of BCUK members who hang, me included. Also if you scroll down to "Meetups and social chatter" you may find there is meetups already happening in your area.

    Cheers

there are def bushcraft meets happening in my area. im trying to organise one for my county at the moment. was kinda looking for a hammock forums meet up though.... there are some cross overs in members granted, but they are also very very different topics and id rather spend my time focused on one or the other... also be nice to meet people face to face! sure we can sort something out...

well scout camps are usually fairly well wooded... someone on here has to be involved with scouts.... would be easy enough to sort out if there wasnt someone anyway.... not like we are going to spray everything purple and burn the forest down....

As I've said in a few places I'm involved with scouts, there's a good site down here which we can probably use, but I'd have to check with the warden as there is a blanket tree preservation order on the land - we've hung before there, but depends how many people would be interested and availability of site.

hehe i knew you were a scout person already, was dropping o so subtle hints.....

we'd all have to use tree huggers (as you should anyway)

sure we could all contribute a 5er or so towards the upkeep of the place...

I'll enquire - baggy is very local to the place (he probably lives at the end of the road but doesn't know it's there...)

Wish I could make it, but I can only make the one day so it's a bit far for that... I might go though. Hmmm...
