make sure you loop through again and put in a quick release knot, otherwise it will either slip or you will never get it undone....

The garda hitch with rings is very convenient but there are some serious concerns about rope damage and failures which were discussed last year.

i use very very fat rapel rings. i think a lot of the failures have been with the thinner welded rings.
i also make sure i adjust and retighten on a daily basis... guess if it breaks ill do a quick fix with para chords....
never notices the ropes being flattened or pinched though to be honest...
