will it actually fit on the standard prussik knots or would that leave too little rope to lash on....?

No idea matey, but I've bought one and I'm going to try it out at the bushmoot! Shame you're not there...
I suspect you would want to suspend it separately. I have Hennessy's silbylon Hex tarp. I use Opie's two piece ridgeline, and NiteIze small Figure9 adjusters to attach the tarp to the trees. Works wonders, and is quick to set up.
Sorry to hear that, but I am sure there are equivalents to be found there.
there arent really any equivalents to be honest... its very very hard for us to get hammocking equipment in the uk..
its either DD which im not the biggest fan of... or a very very limited range of HH. i.e explorer, expedition and snake skins... thats IT!
if i want to ship something from the states from hennessy themselves, even thought he 30d hex tarp only weighs 300gms, they want $60usd for shipping which is a farce!
Definitely hang your tarp separately ... all and all a much better option IMHO

i hang my stock tarp with my hammock using the prussiks and never had an issue at all.... i have attached a second ridge line between the purssiks so it keeps it tight and above the hammock anyway... i wont be using a separate hanging method any time soon... working in the jungle i want everything up super quick and super easy....
Well all that's important is it works for you! HYOH
