    replacement Hammock

This summer I used this hammock. Well, in a mishap that involved a good deal of wine, I damaged it. I am looking to replace it with a "real" camping hammock. I already have the neo 9x9 to use with whatever I get. I kinda like the idea of a toploader (though I have never used any hammock other than the one I owned), I camp in an area that has mosquitos 6 or more months per year, so bug protection is important. Money is a concern as well. Before all the DIYers tell me about thier addiction, that is out of the question for the time being, but may be an option later. I know there are jungle hammock fans that will recommend their faves. how do you insulate those? and how much do they weigh without the stock tarps (since I would use the neo tarp)? What is the cheapest place to get them? thanks for your help.

As a fan of a nice dark red wine, I salute you!

What do you mean by a 'real' hammock? The Bliss is similar to the ENO and Trek Light line of hammocks and those are both very comfortable. The real advantage to that type, or a speer, is the ability to lose the netting when you don't want it. The same site you linked has the Mosquito Cocoon for $40, not a bad deal. That way you could go with or without.

Otherwise, I'm a big fan of the Warbonnet. The manufacturer is a member of this forum that goes by: warbonnetguy. Shoot him a PM and he'll give you some pricing. It is comfortable, light, and generally a very good hammock IMO.

    Good luck in your search!

Since you're new, you may not have seen the thread that started a couple of days ago with this post. These are good prices on nice hammocks with built-in bug-netting. You can get more information about the models discussed here.
