Well then boys and girls maybe I should use a fish scale at each and every tie out point and back them up with 5 #2 S-biners apiece. You know if you have at least 3 of anything it becomes a collection and you be a collector.

I'm sure it wouldn't get me any light weight awards, but maybe I could be considered a "Collector Extradenaire", and at least I would be ready to weigh any fish that comes along, or hang a whole lot of stuff if need be. And I definetely know that nobody else is likely to have the same set up.

    All secure in "Section Eight",

Since you are already checking out Nite Ize for your tarp configuration... I would seriously check out the Figure 9's... They area awesome, and very very light!

I have actually thought of going to weaker attachment points for my tarp with the thought that I would prefer my less than $3.00 plastic hook "thingy" to fail than my over $100.00 Tarp to get a tear. And actually I don't know for sure that my sil nylon tarp can stand 10 lbs pull. BUT I know that the cords I use to tie my tarp in place can stand MUCH more than 10 lbs, so, , , , , , , , ,

Myself and OldGringo were kind of discussing that same thing (Biners and lines failing before the expensive tarp ripped) We also mentioned the subject of a stake pulling out before anything failed.

Has any one done a test to find out what the tensile strength of silnylon that has a grossgrain tie out sewn into it is?

I already have incorperated a small figure 9 into the full ridgeline system, makes it a very quick set up. I think that the Niteize bones would probably be even faster. Opie had made them part of a ridgeline set up I'm pretty sure. I'm waiting on some bones to come in the mail.
