There seems to be quite a few tarp tents for sale on BPL recently. I just received my SMD Lunar Duo this week. Nice and spacious, and over 2 pounds lighter than my two free standing double wall tents. Looking forward to using it in two weeks.

Here's a couple other Contrail posts on BPL:

    Maybe those will help.

    Not a Contrail, but...

I did notice a GoLite Trig 2 for sale on 14ers.com....they seem pretty similar.

Lightheart tents http://www.lightheartgear.com/ has a one person and 2 person tent both of which are 2 pounds or less. I was going to get her 2 person tent until I got hooked on hammocks. I was going for her 2 person tent as her stuff is very well made and and it is one of the few ultra light tents that was large enought for me and has a fly.

May still have to get one for those times when I am camping and there is not a place to hang my hammock.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

Hey Shug I'm with you, sometimes you gotta to just have a toy even if you don't play with it.

I spent most of my money on beer and women and hammocks.
    The rest I just wasted.

Something about a Tarptent that makes it hard to part with. I have a RainShadow 2 that I'm hanging on to.

I do have a brand new REI Roadster UL and footprint I'd part with for $60 shipped. It's double the weight of the the Contrail though but then it is a double wall tent. I have pics of it set up in my living room if interested.

To all those who have helped me try to find one... I have decided to switch gears and go for the Moment instead.

In all regards the Contrail is a better hammock when it comes to size, weight and such. However, the easy of setup after doing 20+ miles a day, as I am intending to do some long-distance (500+miles) hiking over the next year, I think I am willing to sacrifice an extra few inches and 4 ounces (which are negated if you counter-act the weight of required hiking poles), for the sake of what seems a much easier setup.
