That would be kinda handy to hang your hammock and have the UQ already in place.
I do that all the time...the first one I made was just for that purpose. (I made up the name Blackbishop Bag based on a similar one that Blackbishop351 made.)
I made a bigger one to fit my winter kit, too. I put my hammock, UQ, TQ and JRB Hood in there so it's all ready to go as soon as I hang it up.

IMPOSSIBLE JUST TAKES LONGER
Jeff, That is eactly what I was asking. Do you roll or stuff? Did you make the bag large enough so it would contort to the shape of your backpack? Anything to keep in mind when making mine. Thanks.......
I just stuff it. It's usually stuffed loosely enough that it conforms to the backpack but it depends on what gear I'm carrying that particular day.
Need to make sure your cordlock is strong enough to keep the bag closed if it gets stuffed tightly. I had to use bigger cord than my first attempt b/c the cordlock couldn't grip on it.
Need to figure out how to do the bottom hole. On the first one (the page I linked to) I just used a hot needle to melt a hole in the bottom. That worked well enough for a while, and I still use that one occasionally, but it's starting to fray. Depending on how you make the sack part, you can either use a button hole, a grommet, or sew two halves of the bag together and leave an opening. That's how I did my most recent one.

I also just stuff mine in there. The ones I have been making have a button hole in the bottom for the suspension line to come out of. Works well enough. I also tried the burn hole method and was fine with it until it started fraying.....Now, since I make button holes all the time anyway, I just decided to see how it would go in the bottom of a stuff sack....works like a charm

I, too, use a large BlackBishopBag for my hammock and UQ and let it compress as needed once it's in the pack. I used stuff sacks meant for a car camping (large) sleeping bag to make the BBB. I cut a small hole in the bottom for the suspension and then singed the edges with a match or lighter. I stuff the gear in, trying to keep UQ suspension lines from tangling and it seems to work well.
I'm really intrigued by this. I love the idea of stuffing everything in one bag, but how would you do this with webbing? Do you leave it hanging out the sides? If so, it sort of defeats the purpose of keeping everything together and compact, well, for me at least.
Can any of you guys post pics?
Hey Stormcrow,
could you make a button hole that was large enough to let webbing and the hardware used to pass through and get the same benifit as you would get when using rope of some sort?
