    When will the stretching end?

Ive been in my HH Desert Rat for several nights (at most, 2 consecutive nights).

Still, every time I lay down for a while, then get out, I see that its hanging lower than what I hung.

    1. Is this normal stretching?
    2. When will it end?
    3. Any advice about this?

    1. Yes

    2. I am not sure. I always have to tighten my HH after climbing in after a new hang. This after ~20-30 nights.

    3. None that I know of, except to tighten it up.

it probably has nylon straps, which stretch alot and always will. try the 1" polyester camo webbing from www.owfinc.com

Nylon, and they will stretch every time you hang

Now that is just not encouraging...

However, in my attempt at the ring buckle system (which I chose not to do) I did purchase the webbing ratchet buckles. Will this work if I make tree huggers out of them?

The web site says the ropes are polyester, though the tree huggers are nylon:

Due to the nature of the arrangement, even small length changes can have big sag/height effects. So even knots tightening can cause some sag.

Nylon is stretchy like an elastic. It'll always stretch.

I doubt the "knot" is slipping. I use the standard Hennessy lashing as described elsewhere on this site... I think its either the bottom fabric, the tree huggers or the rope... just not sure which one it is.
