I'm working on a UQ from an old down comforter... just did my first trial before finishing up the sewing and deciding where/if to dart and I have to say it's HOT... I almost died sitting in it for a few minutes... I think this thing will most definitely keep me toasty next week!

I'm considering starting a similar project. Do you have any tips or pics you could share?
I'm still away on my trip, though done with the hiking portion. Some things that I wish I'd done are to make it lighter and to use lighter shock cord. I used thicker cord due to the weight of the comforter that I used, which led to problems with constricting motion of the hammock and made it hard to lie diagonally and was pulling my legs up.

I do the "pinch test" where I pinch the insulation and feel for feathers...
