    Introduction - Risk

    Hi all,

I just found this group. I have been interested in hammocks for a while.

Thanks to Just Jeff for letting me know that it is here. I also read the Yahoo group most every day.

I'll come back and explore a little more after lunch.

Welcome, Risk...I was hoping you'd show up eventually! I don't remember when you said you're leaving for Texas - you gonna make it to the winter campout?

Good to have you here. Your expertise will be a great addition to the site.

There is a link to your site that will be in the "Beginner's Guide to Hammocking" thread that is coming soon.

    Depends on when and where...

Ky is pretty easy if it is not a work week for me. I agree that Red River Gorge is beautiful in the winter.

Good to have you here Risk!

I'll say it here also. Thanks for your web site and suggestions. I have made some of the things you have on your site like the balaclava and the mittens for sleeping. I'm working on a Kickass type underquilt right now and then will be thinking about some fleece booties for my BIG size 15 feet to keep them warm at night starting next March when I start my Thru.
