    New Guy from Minnesota

A friend started using a hammock on our BWCA trips last summer and I want to give it a try. My primary reason is because I'm sick of trying to find a decent tent site, especially when your with a larger group. The more I learn, the more intrigued I become about hammock camping.

The force is with you. I canoe with large groups and take joy in the options I have, finding a place and setting up before my tenting friends have even determined where they are going to establish their nylon caves. Paddling and hanging are nice combinations.

This picture is a hang I had on the Buffalo River in Arkansas Memorial Day week. Waterfront property that could not be had with a tent.
