    SB/SBPro detailed pics

I own a GT Ultralight and have sewn on my own mosquito netting and sipper in hopes of transforming it into a SB i can afford. But... it didn't quite turn out the way I hoped it would. I was wondering (hoping) someone out there would be willing to post a few detailed pics of their SB/SBPro for me to learn from. I am very interested in seeing the hammock laid out flat, with the loops ate each end removed. I simply removed the loops, laid it out flat and sewed on a mosquito net the same size as the hammock. It sealed up real nice, but it seems like i have way too much netting and it just flops around everywhere, especially in my face! Any help anyone can provide would be much appreciated!

Can't help with pics, but that is the way the pro is made. And yes there is too much netting IMHO. That's the tradeoff for being able to flip the hammock over & lay net free though. I never could get used to this when I had mine. I like a fitted net that hangs tight from the ridgeline.
My knife is so sharp it cut the sixth finger off my right hand! On the plus side, Inigo Montoya no longer hunts me.

Thanks for your help! If I may ask, what ever happened to your SBPro?

I have the SBPro and can echo what Jeff has already said. There is a ton of netting on that beast. I've been contemplating adding a ridgeline that passes through the netting to more closely mimic a setup like the WBBB as I don't like using the loops and shock cord for net suspension.

My daughter has this hammock and to solve the problem of all the excess netting I made light weight spreader bars. The bars were 2 inches longer than the span of the netting tie outs. Double the netting tie-outs over the bar then made a run of shock-cord to the apex of the tarp from each end of the bar. The kept it suspended and allowed some play in the netting. Trying to find a pic..........ok there it is, I hope this helps

That's a great idea! Ty. I am aiming towards the least bulky option available because I use a 30L pack... but I could always use sticks from around the area i choose to set up camp. I think i will give that a shot tonight when I go out to get some real world testing done.

I just use the net suspension loops and have never had the netting in my face. I am contemplating of figuring out a way to attach the net suspension to tabs underneath my tarp.
