    I'm thinking a 1" polyester strap with a sewn-in loop at one end that perfectly fits a 6" long piece of 3/4" PVC... Put the pipe/strap outside, above the door, and close the door. You might want to wrap the pipe with a piece of pipe insulation, rag, or pool noodle to avoid scratching the paint...

    It might even work as a security device: You'd never get the doors open with a person in the hammock!
