    Weather shield for an UQ?

I have bought the dri-ducks poncho that serves as a weather shield for the JRB underquilt. I have found it more necessary in foggy conditions than rain, my tarp does a good job there. Here is the rub, I have a great waterproof outershell that I use when it is raining, don't really need the poncho but I like having the shield for the quilt.

So here is the question/dilemma. Is there some sort of fabric that I could use to fashion a "vapor-shield" for the quilt that at the end of the day would be lighter than the poncho?

How about an IX UQ as an outer covering for your down UQ?

...oops, it's not much lighter than the poncho.

Yeah, I got a feeling that at the end of the day, I'm not going to find something that is going to be lighter and do just as good of a job, but rather than dismiss it outright, thought I would pick the lock of the brain trust here!

    Ashman:
have you thought about modding a fabric shower curtain?????? They are relatively light and could serve a dual role as a ground cloth if needed. Second thought may be too heavey when the curtain gets wet, not sure about moisture saturation of the material.

I have had a lot of requests for something of this nature, including one that would pair to the BBO. I have the what and how figured out but the fabric I want to use has been back ordered for a while now. Hoping it will be in within the next few weeks though.

Don't know if I would go that far just yet stone, but I have some things rattling around in the brain bowl.
