A hello to all from: New Hampster

Hello All! Just checking in from New Hampshire.
Even though I live in central NH., I spend a lot of time up in the northern part of the state around the Connecticut Lakes Region, camping near the Canadian Boarder.
It's a bit cooler up there and with FAR LESS tourist hanging around. And!
You haven't lived until you've laid in the hammock at night and listened to the moose and loons call back and forth at sundown and sun up.

I've been reading this forum for a long time but just decided to chime in.
Nice to meet you all and looking forward to reading more of your post.

    Gary

Welcome to the dark side. We're out of cookies, so all we've got is a surplus of hammock info!

Glad to have you with us. I've driven through New Hampshire few times. What little bit of it I saw out of the windshield was mighty pretty.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi,

I would love to hear what trails you recommend for a 3 or 4 day overnight loop up that way – low mileage, say, 8 miles a day.

The furthest north I have hiked is the Northern Presidentals.

I keep looking at doing a traverse of the Pilot Range, north to south starting near South Pond and going to Lancaster.

    Thanks,
    Tommy

Hmm, hard to say. Never even been near new "hampster" but, a good place to start looking is:

Have fun, and remember that you can post in the trip reports if you REALLY enjoyed your trip and want to recommend!
