Welcome Mik- I lived in Avondale Estates before moving back to Athens- there does seem to be a few hangers in our area! All suggestions I've read on this thread are right on. I've used Hennessy's for 6 years and they've served me well. I'm giving Clark a try and will be posting on my first impressions as soon as it gets here. Watching the videos has helped tremendously- I only thought I was an experienced hammocker! I would recommend going on the cheap side of life for your initial purchases to make sure that hammocks are for you. If you're a sold hanger, then get the Visa handy and trick that hammock out to the max!

Athens is a good little ride, but I'd be more than happy to pitch my Hennessy up for you one day. Within a week, hopefully, I'll have a Clark Ultralight for you to try as well. PM if you're interested.
