    VIDEO: Tarp to tree options

You can buy the whole seat, but you'll only need the edge!!
Unfortunately this video is not that exciting, but here's some options for connecting your tarp to a tree, be it with a full ridge line, a single line, or a double line leaving room for your hammock suspension.
For the most part I use a full ridge line with my tarp hung under, and the other methods I was showing I was pretty much doing for the first time, but I think they're viable options. What they lack is the mechanical advantage of the figure 9 but I'd bet they would be suitable ways to hang a tarp. So prolly nothing really new here, just putt'n it out there.
Comments and suggestions welcome. And if you've got an interesting way to hang your tarp please share.

    Good luck,

Some great ideas and interesting ways to tie your tarp. I'm going to have to give some a try next time I can get outdoors. Thanks for taking the time to make a video!

Thanks for sharing. I'm going to get out this week and try to open up the end and create the V for the hammock suspension to go through. I have had extra line just hanging at the end of the tarp and I really want to clean that up. I think this trick just might be what I was looking for.

I really like the simplicity of the prussic knot and the sbiner. Thanks for sharing, what type of line were you using?

Good stuff, thanks Red. I'm new and haven't yet hung but have (thanks to this site) a ton of information. Yours was helpful.

Thank you all, I'm glad you've found it useful.

    The line is zing-it 1.75mm.
