Well, it looks like going straight WB lands the weight at about 71oz and the best price over all. Next question, is it worth the wait for out of stock gear from WB? (note: it may be a little while until I have the money anyway.)

AS reminded me about the left shoulder issue some folks have with the Yeti. If you lay on a big asym, some people say the Yeti slips off their left shoulder, leaving a cold spot. I had forgotten about that b/c it doesn't happen to me very often...maybe b/c I don't lay on as much of an asym as others? Dunno. I do remember playing around with that when I first got the UQ, and I could make it happen. I think it's happened a couple times when I was rolling around in the hammock, but overall it hasn't been an issue for me.

The actual setup is easy, though...just put the elastic over the Blackbird's knot and slide the quilt to where you want it. How well that makes the Yeti fit for you may depend on how you lay in the hammock and how much you move around at night.

Only you can answer whether it's worth waiting on!

Two things to consider on the TQ, before you decide:
    - Many of the JRB quilts are wearable, so you can leave the jacket at home on shoulder-season trips...that saves quite a bit of weight and bulk from your pack.
    - The JRB quilts are also usable as UQs...so if you get a Yeti UQ and JRB TQ, you can double up the UQs for winter trips and just use your normal sleeping bag as a TQ.
“Republics are created by the virtue, public spirit, and intelligence of the citizens. They fall when the wise are banished from the public councils because they dare to be honest, and the profligate are rewarded because they flatter the people, in order to betray them.” ~Judge Joseph Story

Thank you everyone for your feedback. Out of anyone that could possibly know what the best quality for the price gear, I figured it would be the group on here. Thus far I've stuck predominantly to DIY gear as I can get material on the cheap, but I just don't have time and have this unique opportunity to get some nice gear without having to make it myself.

Alot of weight can be saved in accessories: ul vargo shepherd hook stakes, dynaglide whoppie slings, zing-it adjustable ridgeline, BPL spectra or zing-it guylines, JRB mini biners (if you need a biner thats not heavily load bearing-such as for tarps). I only use 1 tiny jrb biner, and one small metal fig 9 as hardware for my setup right now.

    Single layer WBBB 1.1 w/ zing-it ridgeline: 13.69oz
    dyngalide whoppie slings: .5oz
maccat deluxe spinn w/ 40ft speer no tangle, + 4 zing it guylines +1 small metal fig 9 + 1 jrb mini biner: 12oz
6x vargo ul shepherd hook stakes: .85oz
    6 foot tree hugger: 2.61oz

    total: 30.02 oz

    Insulation summer:
JRB no sniv (could go lighter w/ cuben, smaller tq): 19.29oz
WB yeti 3 season uq: 12oz
    total: 31.29oz

    shelter + insulation + hammock + everything = 61.31oz or 3.83LBS

If I go with the Yeti UQ and the JRB TQ, I think I'll be out of my price range. Ofcourse I could always use one of my existing tarps, or make another with existing material that I have. I admit I am looking forward to trying out a Spinn tarp.

topplestack, im wondering if you plan to hang in fair weather, mostly.
if so, you could opt for a summer version UQ like the te-wa summer model, and have it overstuffed with an extra ounce of premium down, and i think stormcrow makes a summer model as well.
as far as the shoulder slipping issue, the te-wa models are highly shoulder-slip resistant

Wow you shaved about 8.2oz off my exact rig just by switching out the ridgeline and going with the dynaglide whoopies?!

How are these whoopies holding up as I know they have a weight limit on them (I'm well under that limit). Any issues with rain dripping into your hammock with the dynaglides?

I was on the fence with switching to whoopies but this change would drop me 1/2 pound and into the 10lbs base weight I was striving for..... things that make me go.... hmmmmmmm

Also, what thickness is your zing it ridgeline... 1.75 or 2.2

While I do like fair weather. I already have a nice summer/low elevation setup. I do go very ultralight in the summer. I'm actually looking for a lighter-weight fringe season/high elevation setup. There are some pretty high mountains here in Utah/Colorado and even in July and August in can get below 30 at 11,000 feet.

If you notice my current setup is a 1.1oz Including suspension I'm at 10.3oz with it.
