Grizz Beaks on Gargoyle OGEE Tarps

Just a heads up ... the Grizz Beak works great on Gargoyle's new OGEE designed tarp ... in several of it's configurations. The pictures below show you three views of the standard pitch configuration. I show it with one but with the use of two ... you can turn the OGEE from a solid 3 season tarp to a really nice 4 season tarp. In the picture the tarp is pitched on a slope so the photo side is on the high side. The set up can be pitched to the ground as required. I've also found that instead of the shown pitch ... use of bungees on the Grizz Beak make using it easier to get balanced and tight.

Great reason to have a set of Grizz Beaks around if you ask me!

On the tie out points of the GB ... I found in "speer-minting" with it that if you use a bungee instead of a line ... it works better. Now if you're low to the ground and staking the GB directly down .. it's not relevant.

Anyway ... just wanted to show another tarp that can really work well with the GB. If you take a look at the cover shot on my video on the OGEE tarp ... that configuration works great with a GB. And you have this huge tarp (nearly 14 long on the Ridge line) with just those center side triangles open.



Not that I would use it like that normally ... but I could! Also if I pitch the tarp lower to the ground I can angle the GB out more on the door split side.

Lots of ways to play with a Grizz Beak on most any tarp. Winter I'll carry two ... if I'm expecting really bad weather I might carry one other times. Nice little piece of kit that Donna and Tim make.
