    Some of my DIY projects

First thanks to Sclittlefield, it was his group buy of camo ripstop that inspired me to inject thread. Also for his help with building a tarp, he has answered my questions and has gone above and beyond!!! Pictured are 3 top quilts, orange one is my summer quilt 3.7oz combat weighs in at 16 oz.
The other two are 5.0 oz combat one has side flaps I use when I tent. They weigh in at 24 oz.
The two bottoms quilts are 3.7 oz and 5.0 oz with an extra layer of 5 oz down the middle. They weigh in at 16 oz and 24 oz

Then the tarp its sil nylon from Noah I got it for around $3.85 a yard 25yds so 2 more tarps to come. I based it off BWDD winter dream and modified to my needs. Its 12' x 9' with a 11' ridgeline. I was excited when it weighed in at 16oz but then after the guylines, ridgelines, bishop bag, 6 needle stakes, seam sealed, it now weighs 23oz. Sorry for the ramble thanks to all!!! Bags

Sweet tarp! Good stuff. Is that orange bag ripstop both layers? The yellow looks so shiny.

You've been a busy beaver Bags. Nice stuff but it might be hard to sleep at night in the orange TQ.

Seems that you, like so many, have received excellent guidance from Scott. He's one of the many awesome people who grace us with their presence on this forum.

Mighty fine looking DIY gear! Even nicer when you get it in the field! Looks like you definitely have the DIY bug!

Thanks all! It was a slow process. Don't know for sure that camo group buy was awhile ago.
The tarp however I kicked out quick and was really happy with my results. I sweated the long hem and ridgeline seams but they were easy to do. I struggled with the reinforcement patches for the guyline pulls they were tuff (puckering issues).
I have enough material to make two more. Next one will be a mid size tarp catcut. and my last a micro tarp not sure on the size either a diamond or 8x8.
