Time for the annual UP trip

Starting at the Adventure mine in Greenland, MI. From there we will head up to High Rock Bay for out first nite of camp. From there we will head to the mouth of the Huron River for the second nites camp. Then onto Marquette and finally ending in Munising. There isnt supposed to be much asphalt on the trip and all but the last nites camping is considered rustic... Right now MY plan is to spend all nites in a hammock... But my sons general state of mind at the time may dictate I sleep in the tent with him.

My ExPo partner and his wife along with myself and my son Andrew are departing Lansing around 9am this Sat. Heading towards Straits State Park in St Ignace, MI. We will camp there Sat nite and Sunday take the ferry over to Mackinac Island for a couple hours. Then onto the Mouth of the Two Hearted river for camp Sunday nite. Monday we will head up to High Rock Bay for camp Monday nite. I know it seems redundant, but camping out on the point of High Rock Bay is extrememly serene. Then Tuesday we will head back down to the Adventure mine where they have arranged tours and will also be our campsite for Tues nite. Then the actual organized trip starts. 40+ vehicles and over 60 participants.

That sounds like a great trip. I was just up at the Two Hearted back it may, hadn't been there in a looong time, sure is nice. Have fun.

Have a great time Opie. I went over the bridge for the first time last year. Loved the UP eh. Hope you get to hang every night.
