    Chrysalis still damp inside

Took my son out again last night and set him up in the Eureka Chrysalis again. Last trip he closed the side vents and the top (tarp) was dripping condensation the next morning. This time I told him to leave ALL vents wide open.
Not "dripping" wet this morning, but it was moist inside again. Temps were around 60°F last night, and he slept in a 40°F mummy bag on a CCF pad.

Hate to do it, but it's either ditch the cover and buy a tarp & bugnet or sell the Chrysalis. He loves the room (storage @ head & foot) in the Chrysalis, but doesn't like the CCF pad, so I'll probably have the Chrysalis up for sale.

We were able to get to the campsite by the creek last night in the truck. Sure makes it nice to add a table & chairs to the setup.
Just to the left of the fire pit the bank drops about 6' to the water. Makes a peaceful night listening to the frogs serenading you to sleep.

Glad to know you are aware of the possibility of condensation. I don't think it will be a major problem, but it is something you need to check before storing the hammock long-term. I simply opened the top cover (it has velcro tabs you can use to hold the opposite sides together over the ridge line) and in a couple hours it was dry.
Just don't break camp without checking it and then store it for days/weeks or you could have a moldy hammock.

I'm sort of sad that you've given up on it already. I still think it is the most comfortable hammock I've laid in, even if heavy. But I never intended to use the top either...
Some day "soon" I will make a lighter weight bridge based on the Chrysalis' dimensions and now that I have some IX, an underquilt to go with it.

Anybody got a scrap of time I can buy off them?
