    WBBB Spreader Bar

Has anyone experimented with a lightweight half-hoop to spread the WBBB interior (width wise)?

Staking out the sides just doesn't give me the expanded room I'd like - even if I prop the sides up with trekking poles. I'm not claustrophobic, but I like the feeling of everything spread out and the left shoulder not sagging in my face.

I was thinking something minimal that folded down similar to a tent pole, had padded ends expanding into the BB wings, and went over the ridgeline. Shouldn't be that tough right?

Has anyone tried it? Would love to hear some suggestions.

One thing did with my Yeti ,( because the shock cord on the yeti tends to get too close to the left side of my head), is to run a piece of cord from just above the yeti, head end left side, down to the side pull out at the ground and use a toggle to tighten just too get the shock cord an inch or two out without exposing my left shoulder. Hope thats not too confusing. I think your wanting to do allot more but that was a little thing i did.

I can see a c.f. pole arcing from one side to the shelf area...might eliminate need of pulling out(s)...if my c.f. pole for my tarp is 2.4 ounces this pole would surely be less than an ounce. I think its worth experimenting with. Next time I order fro. Fibraplex I will measure for one fitting.

I've put a hula-hoop in the pocket. It spreads the net nicely.

I have the rubber tips for my Leki poles and use one right above my head in my Traveler. The rubber on the handle and tips grips the fabric really well and there's been no harm to hammock. It holds the sides out greatly and gives me lots of room.

Now that's a simple solution. Thank you!

... it's adjustable and it's already being carried!

    Muchas Gracias.

Just thinking of this myself today.

Either an arc cf pole inside the WBBB, or, if using the Travel Sock, an arc cf pole outside the Travel Sock, with attachments between hammock guys and sock to keep everything open.

    Anyone ever try this?
