    Loops on snakeskins?

    Hello!

After reading LOTS of material on this great forum and watching tons of videos from your members, I got bitten by the hammocking bug I just received my first hammock, a HH UL Explorer. Tomorrow I'll try hanging it for the first time!

Anyways - I noticed that the snakeskins that came with the hammock have a small loop at each one of the smaller ends. I can't seem to figure out what they are supposed to be used for? What do YOU use them for?

Pull tab? when moving them out of the way of the underquilt attachment; it might keep them from turning inside out..
just guessing- mine are homemade.. so, no loops.KM

Sounds reasonable. I'll let you know if I find any other uses for them

Pull tabs seems the most logical. The one I bought ten years ago did not have them. Not really necessary IMO.

You pass the rope through them and they serve as a stop to keep the skins from sliding too far on to the hammock. That way as you slide the skins closed you do not have to worry about the ends being exposed to bad weather.

There is really no need for pull tabs on the small end of the skins. At least that is _my_ best guess.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.
