wanted to add this little bit for people looking into the gt ul. well this may be a smaller hamock but im 6'2 and i can get on my diagonal lay easly and be very comfortable even with all my winter pads and bag. but i must say if your a little taller than me your going to have a tough time getting on the diagonal.
I have both also and love them. I did change out the rope and rings with amsteel and whoopie slings.
Not totally sure, but AFAIK my hammock, the Skeeter Beeter, is the same one as this but with an integrated bug net. It's a bunch more money, relatively speaking, but even with the bug net it still weighs only 20 ounces out of the box and while I can think of plenty of times I've had the bug net and not needed it, I'd way rather have a hundred of those than one time where I didn't have it and did need it.
Still, an ultralight, quality hammock for under 20 bucks? Who can argue with that?
Brought 2 off amazon for my kids...$ 15 ish each you can't go wrong, they can be as rough as they like with them and IF they get damaged I can buy more at that price
When life gets you down......make an underquilt!
I just bought a couple of these for my kids as well. Does anyone have a picture of the upgraded suspension you did, whoopie slings etc? A picture is worth a thousand words, right?
Now I need to look into some bug netting!!
Nevermind the pics. I just found this;

I think I've got the components to do something similar already so the additional cost is minimal or nothing!
