    Willkommen Eifel-Ardennes-Rat!

    Congratulations on the de-lurking.

You have come to one of the right places. The forested area in which you speak is very rough and at the same time beautiful and lends itself to stealth hammocking very well.

    Best regards,
    Barefoot Child

Thanks for the tip. I took a look at the DDs. I was wondering, the pics look very similar to the Claytor Mosquito Hammocks. Definitely could reduce the shipping costs and the VAT would be a lot less.

Thanks Barefoot Child. It's nice to come out of the shadows.

Sounds like you know the Eifel-Ardennes. It's beautiful country with hundreds of miles of trails, few people and lots of history. I'm looking forward to some serious bushwhacking there.

    You are most welcome friend.

Yes, I spent some time kicking around those parts of the woods...I am sure you will enjoy.

Make sure that you wear eye protection of some sort to protect the only set of eyes that you have when bushwhacking. I wear clear safety glasses at night (doesn't effect your night vision at all, well just a little), and use sunglasses during the daylight hours.

Just one poke in the eye is all it will take to convince you.

You have a beautiful but unforgiving playground, be sure to enjoy it with a friend sometimes. It is best enjoyed while whispering in the dark many times.

BTW-There is nothing like sneaking up on someone, when they think they are sneaking up on you! LOL

Welcome to the forum. I have spent a lot of time in and around Koln over the years with the airline I fly for. Not flying international any longer and of all the cities I miss, Koln is the most missed.

Thanks. I've already learned a ton from HF. The folks here are really friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful.

I can understand why you miss Köln. It's an ugly duckling of a city, but a ton of fun, especially during Karnival. Then it's 'Katie bar the door' time - Liver and marriage beware!
