    extra long tree hugger straps??

do they make'em in like 20-25 foot lengths? i'm interested because i like how quick and easy they are to set up and use and i'd like to be able to use them as my sole means of suspension. and i'd like them to have as many loops as possible sewn in. thanks in advance for the help.

You don't need a bunch of loops, just a couple of rings to make them adjustable. Email Brandon at Warbonnet - get a set of his straps. They're lighter than the strapworks.com straps and adjustable to boot.

Paul is well renowned for good stuff on this forum. He also has cool camo for $0.75/ft!

Go to arrowhead equipment and look for the straps I just ordered a set (in black) this morning: 20 feet each. Also look for his aluminum rings. Buy two for each strap for super fast suspension adjustment.

Warbonnet straps are 15 feet each, I never had an issue here in California, the home of huge trees. (Of course, I never tried to hang from a redwood tree. Just pines and firs and oaks.)

They actually have different "heaviness" of straps, from light to heavyweight. all lengths, and will sew in loops for you, original poster. I just bought two sets--one pair is 15 feet long per strap, and one set is--hold your hats--30 feet long per set. So, if I ever want to hang from the Grand Canyon, I'm all set.

thanks for the great info ya'll. i'll probably get my stuff from arrowhead. i want' to be able to put my hammock and suspension all in the same pouch if possible and hope fully i will be getting a 9.5x12 chinook tarp soon so my shelter at least will probably be ultralight. not that i'm counting ounces but it's nice to have a compact shelter system.

Paul, At Arrowheadequipment made mine for me. They are 20' each, they came in real handy last time out. Big trees and longer distance, used with his cinch buckles and it was a breeze to set up.

One of those saved my butt this past week. Usually I use it to hang my pack conveniently from a tree, both to get it off the ground and have it at a handy height.
