I had a couple of free hours in the afternoon today,
so I thought I would hang in there.
I have found a few spots to do this when I have a slack aft,
but they all seem to have a problem.
One place is close to the hwy, so road noise is an issue,
another is a sweet forested park but no secure place to park the truck.
But now I have found a little spot just outside of Nelson BC, a ways,
on the water, right at a crook in the Kootenay River,
so the wind comes whistling down the river
and blows right across this little bit of land,
real sweet on a hot day.
I wanted to get right on the waters edge,
just further into the photo,
but at this time of day between the trees, it was shroud in sunlight.
Not good, so slipped in land 25 feet.
Ended up with the head end into the wind, but in the shade.
I got a hour of shut eye.
The wind was mild to gusty, so the 6" trees I hung from did a little swaying,
which reminded me of the six years living on the water on my sail boats.
That was OK 2.
