    Will this set up work

    Hi All
Just toying with an idea and wondered if you think it will work or is it basically what we have now.
The plan is to have one line that has two loops tied in it as a ridgeline then the loops go down to the hammock and attach near the whipping in the usual manner.
The ridgeline is tied tight to the webbing and the hammock hangs down from that.

Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there some day.

Yup, that's how mine is. I like it because the hammock can be removed from the ridgeline easily and washed. Washing it with the ridgeline could cause problems if the washing machine has an agitator, or washing messes up the line used.

I think there is a picture somewhere on the site that shows a similar setup using Prusik knots to adjust the hammock on the ridge line/support line.
