Boy Scout Jamoree on the air

Well after 3 day's at Fort Massac State Park for the BOY SCOUT JAMBOREE ON THE AIR and being on my feet everyday for 16 hours I could'nt wait to get into my hammock. I had fun with all the scouts they made several contacts to the U.K and South America and wore me out. I had the hammock already set in place along with a Pop Up camper acting as base camp for all the radio's and computers my son and his girlfriend used the camper and I was tucked nicely away from them and hung for 3 day's. My feet were killing me buy the end of the day and when I hit the hammock and went to bed the next morning I woke with happy feet and legs I dont think that I would have been able to do that in a camper. I can walk for ever backpacking but standing in one place or very little walking just kills my legs, feet, and back man I just could'nt wait. I have said this several time in other post but thanks so much to all of you who have helped me purchase my hammock weather it was your kind of hammock or not. all of your input was a big help in makeing that purchase. my legs and feet and back thank all of you as well

i sure do understand what you mean about standing in one place all day. kills my feet too!
and i understand what you mean about how wonderful it feels to take a load off when you get a chance to lay in the hammock.
sounds like you had a great trip. did anyone ask questions about your hammock?
I too will something make and joy in it's making

One of the best features of a hammock is that it allows you to elevate your legs and feet. This does amazing things for recovery from fatigue. You really cant get that with any other form of outdoor sleeping (even indoor unless you prop lots of pillows under your feet).
