THE SKY IS FALLING!!!!!! Seriously guys, how many Spinn failures have you heard of? Not too many. I bought a Spinn Maccat from Te-Wa last year (no, you can't have it back) I've used it alot and I'm sure Mike did before he sold it to me. The thing still looks new.

I decided to try out my HH Explorer Deluxe, 30D sil tarp, MW3C UQ, and a random light sleeping bag last night. I set it up slowly at about 9:00 pm adding pieces to the hammock one at a time so not to mess anything up or dirty anything. After setting up the tarp I went back inside for a while and started to go out to set up the MW3C UQ. As I was shining the flashlight, I noticed a one inch tear in the tarp, then another, and kept noticing more as the night went on. All told, there are 5 small tears in the tarp from one night. My backyard sounds like an army of squirrels throwing acorns this time of year. They'll hit the house, patio furniture, and everything else while scaring the crap out of the puppy. To those that doubt the ability of large fast movers, let me tell you they will put holes in your sil tarp.
As I just got a spinn tarp .... I will tote a small repair kit to the pineys with me.

I weathered acorn downfall a couple of weeks ago with my Noah Tarp. I haven't noticed any damage but it sure worried me every time one hit with force.
In my backyard I use an el cheapo so it can be replaced if a tree branch or something comes down. Never know... we have big storms sometimes here in the Appalachians.
But I think the evilest nut hulls are from Chestnuts!!!! Flying sticker balls!!
