Thinking about an HH

Just recieved HH Explorer Deluxe Side Zip and some 1/8 Amsteel, Completed the Woopie conversion last night. Have not had a chance to hang yet, but can't wait.

This fourm has been a great place to learn about hanging and gave me the confidence to make the conversion without ever trying to hang the stock HH.

The HH came with what I think are short tree huggers (4ft.)?

If I buy some webbing for longer huggers, which knot do I tie to make loops on the ends? Bowline or maybe some type of figure 8 ? Don't really want to mail order, but I am able to buy webbing buy the ft. close to home.

I've used a bowline for this application and it works fine, if not as elegant as a sewn loop.

If you're going to use toggles and the marlin spike hitch with whoopie slings, you really only need one loop per strap.

Perfect! That will be my new set up. HH explorer deluxe, side zip, tree hugger, marlin spike, carabiner, woopie sling rig!

Any tips on what to do with the tarp line? I have about 36ft. 1/8 Amseel?
