Well now Paul that was right enjoyable ... thanks for putting it together and sharing. Good looking family you got there ... love the expression of Rockhopper eyeballing that burger ... man knows his food!

Like that DRP ... looks like it carried well up those trails!

He is six, his first trip was last year, we did 8 miles on a day hike, it was a long day but he did well. This year he was out in front setting a good pace most of the way, we averaged over 3 MPH, very good in my opinion for the terrain. We should do a kiddos hike sometime, maybe before it gets to cool.

I'm down. That sounds like fun. It would need to be a day hike, just so my boy can get a feel for it. And he's a super picky eater. So an overnight trip is out...at least for now.

That would be cool. This weekend is my wife and I's anniversary so it is booked, but the following is Labor day weekend and would work for us we have no plans any of the 3 days. Right after that is the Idaho hang and I will be in the Sawtooths for 5-8 days. There are some lakes above Lowman that I really would like to get into, the fishing is supposed to be really good--about 3 miles from the looks of it, so doable for a day hike if we left Boise early enough.

Beautiful. Looks like the Rock Hopper has earned his name.

I loved my stay in Stanley this summer. You guys are so lucky to have that kind of recreation nearby. I haven't even considered hanging my hammock the last couple months, here in central Texas. It was 94 degrees when I went to bed last night.

This is going to change one of these days, and Idaho is high on the list.

Beautiful country you got there and a couple of great hiking buddies. Thank you for sharing your trip and the great video.
