Here's a camera tip - Wait on the lense to defrost/acclimate from the AC environment to the humidity and heat before taking any pics. That's a BTDT.

Is this the bug net material you can buy at Wally World? How well can you see out of it?

I bought the bug net at a local army navy. It is see through, similar to a black insect net would be. My local WM only sells tulle (sp?) which is lighter than this but much less durable.
