Relax, monsters under the hammock are easily distracted by twister-playing squirrels.

I second the Dragon. I am out of vacation time but a ride up to the Dragon would be doable in a weekend from here. Keep us informed of when and where.

mmm I probably won't be able to make it too easy from St. Louis in a weekend, but any riders / hangers are welcome in MO anytime

I've never been to The Dragon! Please make sure the date selected doesn't conflict with other hangs, like Dolly Sods, Gorge Rats, or MAHHA. I would love to attend!

i'm ahead of you guys! my trip is planned already. if you want to join me, i'll be leaving fla on fri morning sept 3rd. 1st stop is TWO in suchez ga. that is the only 4 sure as all the rest of my plans are flexible. i just bought a new GPS to go with my new hammock. my plans are to hit all the good roads off the blue ridge parkway in route to meadows of dan, va. anyone wants to join me, i can change plans maybe.

on thurs or fri, i will depart my camping trip to visit family in chatham county, nc--then riding back to fla on sun morning REALLY FAST to catch the denver/jaguars game

I'd like to go, but timing would be crucial. Leaving on 9/9 to ride the TAT from TN to CO (http://transamtrail.com). Be gone about 10 days. The Dragon sounds like fun, haven't ridden that on the GS.

Looks like the Dragon has it. I was thinking about staying away from the holiday weekend. Don't want to fight the crowds.

I have a buddy that went up there last year and talked about a motorcycle only campground. It would be a good base.

I'll look at the scheduling of the other hangout's later today and post a poll with some dates later.

Sounds like a great trip. Been eyeing that trail. Want to do that trip some time.

Looks like the Dragon, sometime this fall.

Watching you ride up in a kilt on a harley would be worth the price of admission.
