Just made my first set of skins! Just so happens they belong to Fanatic Fringer, but that's immaterial...
They were really easy - took about 2 hrs., even with my stubborn hem-pinning!

Looks good. On mine I got tired of craming my nest and HH in and added a couple inches of width to the big and small ends. Much easier fit now.
Nice job!
I made my first set from some really heavy waterproof material I found in the WalMart $1 bin. The material is really stiff so I am going to pick up some ripstop nylon and make some from that.
A quick question while on the suject; do skins need to be modified when the are used with staps instead of ropes?
Mine are the same. The opening on the dimensions on the JRB site will fit a 1 inch wide strap.
Hammock engineer made mine and they are super easy to fit over my Nest/Hammock....I can even overlap them in the middle! Have you posted the dimensions you used HE?
This is my signature.
The diameter at the large end is 17.5" and 6.5" at the small end. They start out before hemming at 72" long. Probibly an oz heavier, but worth it to me.
